There once was a young girl sitting on a park bench smiling at the sun
The sun smiled back at her and said, "stay your happy self precious one."
Said the girl to the sky "how could I ever cry without your rays."
Well the sun he sighed, oh young girl, have you ever known a cloudy day?"

All throughout her town, the young girl sang her song of love and glee
"Well this life is so beautiful and I'm just so happy being me"
The townspeople heard her song and some, they smiled while others quietly disagreed
But there was one so mean and bitter that he felt it was his job to make her see

So he called up his friends, they were dark and gray
And they filled up the sky for days and days
And the young girl felt cold for the very first time
She cried "Sun do you still love me? Why don't you still shine?"
